Heartwarming, heartrending, and endearing, "Growing Strong" has become my favorite of Sarah's books. Perhaps it's because it tells the story of her childhood and youth, as she struggles with the emotional and social issues surrounding her blindness and chronic illnesses. Perhaps it's the pictures, both visual and verbal. Maybe it's the miracle which makes her faith in Jesus Christ become a personal force in her life. To me it's a miracle. I won't spoil it for you. You decide for yourself if you think there's a miracle.
Buy the book; tell me how you like it. And as my other favorite author once said, through Tiny Tim, his character in "A Christmas Carol": "God bless us, every one."
