| There is something I would like to talk to you about and it might just seem like to you another bleeding heart. Some of you might not even agree with me but this is my heartfelt voice on this matter. I would like to talk to you about HIV and AIDS. This is a silent killer and sometimes it can go unnoticed for years before you are detected. Now we know that the most sure fire way to solve this problem is the " NO SEX " policy. But if you are a Chirstian then you would have no problem with this before you are married, but how much do you know about some ones past. Then there is the drug problem. Dirty needles is a bad thing all together. I say sure fire way but hey we all know that there is no promise in anything but our Lord Jesus Christ and his love right. Well HIV and AIDS is not just a gay Disease. If God was handing out diseases as Punishment we'd all be at the free clinic. Yes you can shortin your life by the bad deads that you do and you do have to reap what you sow, but there are very innocent victims in this tradgity. I seen something on the news the other day and some of you might have seen it also. The country of South Africa is one of the most affected by this disease. They came to New York to because they care about their people and their counrty and not only that but the world , to try and save everyone. Not only do they have to deal with this deadly disease but they are a very poverished counrty. There are 3.6 million people infected with the HIV AIDS disease in South Africa and it is growing daily. One man is a miner in a small town and has become infected because of visisting with a prostitute and has failed to tell his 19 year old wife and his children. Also you have the under equipted medical staff in some parts where the disease factor is high and he runs a risk everytime he answers a call to help because of their jobs. It doesn't matter how it happens the fact is that it happens. I know your thinking " well how can I help, Thats there and I'm here." Just like I did, we might not be able to help there but we can stop it here. Let everyone know where you stand and teach your children and keep them in church that is the start. Help with the anti drug campains and help out the druggie on the corner or even in your own home. In The book of mark, Jesus Gives us two commandments, To love Jesus as he loves us and to love your neighbor. I know that sometimes is a hard thing to do, even when he or she is fallen down drunk. But it is our job and our duty to them. and who knows it might just stop one more case and one more person from being a statistic. here are some web sites you might would like to check out and who knows we might just be able to save South Africa too....... |
