This page is dedicated to my beautiful, sweet, funny daughter, Angel Rose.
Before I ever held you in my arms,
or touched your tiny face, I held you deep within my heart.
Angel Rose was born in October of 2000.
Here's a picture of us together, taken when she was just a year old, back in November of 2001
Here's one of her crying when she was just a tiny thing....didn't she have the cutest crybaby face?
Just so you don't think she never smiles, I thought I'd throw this picture in for you too.
Angel is a brilliant child. (Of course everyone says that about their children, but in Angel's case it's true.) She started learning how to talk at a very early age. One of her first words was, "hi"....In the beginning, she'd just copy you when you said it. On New Year's Eve of 2000, she looked me right in the eye and said "Hi" all by herself!!
She rolled over on the bed for me several times on January 26th,
and when I stood her on the floor, she took several steps forward, while I held her up.
Then, Angel learned how to sing. Sometimes, she would lay in bed and sing or hum. She likes to dance, too. And when you ask her if she wants to go to bed, she'll look at the clock. Not sure if she can tell time or not yet, but she IS amazing! Now, Angel is learning her ABC's. She knows letters and words when she sees them. She'll point to a word on something and start to sing the Alphabet Song (though she can only get through "A-B-C-D", but for 15 months old, I think that's pretty impressive!

I carry you with pride,
Your little arms and legs and heart
Growing inside my body.
There's nothing I want more
Than the day I will hold you in my arms.
Your heart is a part of my heart,
And your face, a part of my face,
Making your smile a part of my smile.
Will you look like me?
Will you look like Papa?
Will you look like us both,
With features from him,
And features from me?
It's something I wonder about, sometimes,
Yet, I won't know until that first moment,
When I lay my eyes on you.
Your spirit is wild and free,
This, I already know.
And your sense of humor
Was one of the first things to develop.
I feel you moving at the funniest times.
If I tell a joke, you move.
I wonder, are you laughing?
You live within my body for now,
But within my heart forever.
How could a mother not love her child,
When before I have seen you,
You have brought me such joy?

I received this great email from a dear friend, regarding pregnancy.
I'm not sure where this originated, but it sure is funny!...
"A man and his wife were making their first doctor visit prior to the birth of their first child. After everything checked out, the doctor took a small stamp and stamped the wife's stomach with indelible ink. The couple was curious about what the stamp was for so when they got home, he dug out his magnifying glass to try to see what it was. In very tiny letters the stamp said, "When you can read this, come back and see me."
