<- We still need to install the natural maple dishwasher end panel that will enclose this.
As you can plainly see, we haven't gotten around to painting the ceiling, walls or trim. The ceiling will be white. The walls will be a color called banana cream and the trimwork will be 'applesauce.'
This real chimney that the previous owners covered with plaster and a fake fecade (DOH!) that is just plain nasty and was never finished will have to be covered again with sheet rock and wanescotting/chair rail. V
The big microwave that occupies most of the counterspace will be going bye-bye as soon as we are able to install the new rangehood/microwave that sits patiently in a box pining for a useful existence.
We've also not yet gotten to the task of installing the crown and toe moldings for the cabinetry, as you can see. The crown molding can be seen in the upper photo propped vertically next to the back porch door.
I LOVE this new fridge enough to work nights to pay for it! LOL :)
... also note the new stove and new floor that matches the entryway floor and newish berber between...
We're sadly unable to have the cool ivy pulls I chose for the cabinets because the idiot from the county who designed the 'L' didn't factor in any space between the dishwasher door that opens out and the front of the cabinets that it just misses grazing when it does. GRRR!
Ignore the dirty dishes and check out the nice new sink/faucet!
