Bublers to test Trinity
By Andrew P. Shay for the Patriot-News

Theres no beating around the bush.
Boiling Springs has played two quality opponents. Trinity has not played one.
You can bet that will be a factor early when the teams square off Friday night in yet another key Liberty Division matchup.
It was nice getting kids experience, especially some of the new kids on offense, said Trinity coach Jeff Boger, whose Shamrocks have outscored their opening two foes by a combined 84-7. we have a lot of guys playing new positions. From that aspect, its been good. It gave those kids experience.
Well find out just how much Friday night.
The Bubblers are more than battle-tested after being deadlocked at 21 in their opener before pulling away and falling 6to Biglerville last Friday. The Shamrocks have scored 54 of their last 84 points before halftime. Get the Picture?
Im happy with what weve done so far, Boger said. One thing I do know is we cant turn the ball over and have the penalties we did the first two games. We wont get away with that against a team like Boiling Springs.
Trinity is loaded with offensive weapons. Halfback Rob Lutz has touched the ball 20 times this season for 318 yards with three touchdowns.
Then theres fullback Jonathan Smith, the transfer from Cedar Cliff. The 205-pound junior has carried only 11 times but has 146 yards and three long TDs. If he friends open field, say goodbye.
And lost in all this rushing offense is quarterback Chris Crane. Hes completed 66 percent of his passes for 177 yards but has not thrown a TD pas. The junior could be the key if Boiling Springs is able to slow down the Rocks Wint-T offense.
They probably dont have as much overall speed as they did last year, but Boiling Springs is still a very big team that is physical, Boger said. With what we have speedwise , we have to make things happen. We moved the ball last year and did some things without spreading the field on them.
For all its offense, Trinitys success Friday night might hinge on how well its experience-laden defense plays.
By the middle of last season, the shamrocks were giving up yards and points at an alarming rate. Boger responded by going with his youngerd players as starters. ~Patriot News~

Trinity 38, Steel High 6
Trinity remains perfect

By James Phillips of the Patriot News

It took a while for the undefeated Shamrocks to figure out how to get around the overall team speed of Steel-High last night.
Actually, it was 3 fumbles, 3 interceptions and a blocked punt given up by the young rollers that got the rolling for the Shamrocks (4-0,2-0) as the rolled to a 38-6 victory in Mid-Penn Conference Liberty Division action.
In fact, four turnovers led to Trinity touchdowns as the home tam took full advantage of the miscues.
We just took advantage of the turnover like a good team should. Steel-High had a lot of speed and our kids werent used to seeing that. It kind of took our kids by surprise.
Junior quarterback Chris Crane tossed two touchdown passes and ran for another and Rob Lutz added two more scores to lead the way for the Shamrocks, who amassed just 240 yards of total offense.
Coming into the contest, Trinity was averaging 402 yards of offense, including 283 yards on the ground.......
