Uncle Dreafus and Aunt Wilma

Aunt Wilma & Uncle Dreafus

Down through the years, you have both meant so much to me. You always gave me a place to call home.

You loved me , prayed for me, and never gave up on me.

I can remember coming to your house all my life.

I never wanted to leave. I felt secure and safe. Your home was always a little bit of heaven on earth.

When Aunt Wilma gave me something made from any kind of fabric, I waited to wash it as long as I could because when I smelled it, I was immediately transported to a safe and secure place.

Aunt Wilma had a tough job. She had to try and keep Uncle Dreafus and me both in line. She always said we were just alike.

I can't think of a better legacy to leave anyone than telling them how, out under a tree, you prayed for them when you knew they were in danger and not right with the Lord. Thank you, Aunt Wilma for praying for me. When I was just a toddler, I told your mother, "I think I will call Aunt Wilma mother, because it is such a pretty name."

Uncle Dreafus, you could always make me laugh. Those times sure helped when going through my divorce and other tough times in my life.

I always wished you were my daddy and even though they wouldn't split us girls up and let ya'll adopt me, you still loved me like I was yours.

You don't know how much it means that you cried when I did. That showed me that you really cared.

I love you both dearly, and no words could really express my feelings. I am so thankful God blessed me by putting me in your family. Thanks for all the memories, all the love, and especially for a place that felt like home.

Love
