With the release of the new mcd "An Attempt To Make Moments Last", the band has finally manifested a sound that fits them. The record is an attempt to capture the emotions experienced between friends, lovers, people meeting for the first time and maybe even enemies... When everything makes sense, be it a moment at a show when the right note is struck and everybody seems to know the words or just two peoples eyes meeting while they cross each other in the street.

Wat het motto is van het trio Pick on the Fat Kid??"gewoon fun on stage maken,ook al vind het publiek het maar niets".Dit resulteert tot hilarische toestanden op het podium,maar als u als publiek roept dat ze hun bek moeten houden en nou eens eindelijk verder willen spelen, zullen ze dat ook doen!Ze hebben immers een hart van goud! Deze mannen spelen plain punkrock met een vette laag humor en een groot 'ik-ben-een-loser' gehalte!Hun tunes zijn catchy en leuk dus : Fun verzekerd!Komt dat zien komt dat zien!

Pick on the fat kid nam reeds 2 demos op sinds hun oprichting in 1999.Tegen 24 mei zullen T-shirts gemaakt zijn van deze band(tegen een goedkope prijs natuurlijk).Check hun site.

Once upon a time (march 1999) three kids came together after breaking up with the bands they were playing in.

After a few times of Saturday afternoon rehearsing, they decided to play up-tempo Punkrock with a touch of Pop and Emo.

Like any other group they needed a bandname, so they came up with "Gino's eyeball', but they still don't have a clue what the meaning of this hilarious name is. Some tried to form a theory. The band doesn't care at all !!

The line-up is and always will be : Tom (guitar + vox), Jef (bass + vox) and David (drums + vox).

Influences can be found by 'Green Day', 'Screeching Weasel', 'Face to Face', 'Neft Herder', 'MxPx',...They released several demotapes that were sent to clubs and mags to get some gigs and reviews.

Fast-Forward Hardcore!! biografie van hun site :

When Victims Of Society started playing together in 1992, they were a bunch of young and unexperienced kids, but in love with hardcore and dedicated to the bone. After a whole lot of rehearsing, the band started playing on a regular base with bands like UK Subs, Funeral Dress etc. They soon decided to record a demo and contacted Patrick Delabie of the wellknown 195 studio in the Netherlands, who managed to give the boys an ultra fat sound on the VOS demo tape. Tapes were sended out and the band gets a phone call from the German Lost and Found Records label. At that time, one of the biggest independent hardcore labels of Europe. Soon after, the debut ep 'way of life' is released by that label. The response of both press and audience is great. VOS starts playing outside of Belgium on a more regular base. Enter 1997, VOS are preparing to record their next album, but the cooperation between the band and the label is stagnating, not to say 'on the way down'. They decide to get rid of their labeldeal and Dieter, who is the drummer of the band, decides to start his own label, called Daybreak Records.1998 is the year 'Screaming alone' is released on Daybreak and followed by some intense touring through Spain and the United Kingdom. Both live shows and album are received well, but there are a whole lot of things changing in the band. Longtime member Web decides to leave (and is replaced by Hans from Up To Now) and Dieter's Daybreak Records is put to rest. Some other members have a lot of work with their new jobs and the band takes a break, which eventually lasts for about a year. Since 2000, new songs are written and VOS are back in full effect. The band takes a new start and begins to play a lot of shows in 2001. Since both the band and Funtime Records always had a great feeling working together, it's nothing more then logical that VOS gets signed by Funtime Records. The first result of this cooperation is the blasting ep 'Glasgow kiss', filled with fast, raging and explosive oldskool hardcore. Furious, non sensitive for trendy shit and f*cking hardcore.
