Radio Controlled Micro Aircraft
This portion of my website is for my RC airplanes.  i've been flying for over 2 years now and have been doing micro (sub ounce) building and flying for about a year and 8 months.  building big and building small are about as big of a difference as one can get.  a simple job on a 10oz  plane can be painfully difficult on a plane that only weighs 10 grams.  its always a work in progress and there always seems to be more projects than time, but its a great way to spend some time and learn some new things.

below are some pictures of planes i have built and some videos at the last page.  everything i have learned about micro RC was learned from
rcgroups.  there are a lot of very well informed people and more information than anyone could ever absorb.  there are other forums as well, but i really think rcgroups is the best.  thanks to everyone for all the help!  i've recently joined a new RC forum, its quite nice SFA

all my conversions or builds have been powered by either 4mm-7mm coreless pager motors, M20s and N20s, a JMP rx/esc, efightdesign .6g actuators, 60, 90, 130, 145, 200, and 345mah lipo batteries, or the electronics from the ITC BladeRunner helicopter, the WattAge MicroFlyer, a clone of the MicroFlyer, other bit-car RX/ESCs, cheap planes conversions, or the new Silverlit X-Twin/Airhogs AeroAce planes.  my newest plane is being controlled with a Nick Leichty RX, actuators, a 4mm gear drive unit from Billy Stilter, and a 30mah lipo (215 dollars worth of electronics for 35 cents worth of balsa!!).

my very first attempt at building my own plane.  i've seen bricks that flew better!
my 2nd attempt at my own plane, and my first conversion using the WattAge MicroFlyer.  it kinda flew, controlled powered glides are more like it
the Estes Aero-X airplane i converted with 7mm SS motor, .6g act, JMP rx and 90mah lipo
my first try at Aireal Photography with my Stryker F-27 - not a very good AP plane
an AirHogs airplane converted with a BladeRunner helicopter PCB.
a simple boat i made from the PCB of my BladeRunner helicopter.  it works pretty well actually
a couple mini chuckers/gliders.  a Wright Flyer and a Ralph Bradley MicroMite
