Some of us stopped at the White Sands National Monument on our way to Cloudcroft. |

Walking through the beautiful countryside of Cloudcroft. The altitude made our
trek up the mountain breath-taking. |

Due to high fire danger in the Cloudcroft area, many of the hiking trails were closed.
Instead we walked on a local golf course that had hills which made our hike more challenging |

We were also able to hike a local ski area. Unfortunately, the lifts were closed so we had to hike to the top of the
mountain. The hike was difficult but the view from the top was spectacular. |
