Mosaic Mountain Crafts began as an arm of the daily work & life skills program at Kauriland Skills working out of a small corner of their Recreation Building in 2003.  After very sucessfull exhibitions at The Maungaturoto Life Stylers Show and at two Dargaville Field Days, a Mosaic Studio was built at Kaurilands Skills Centre in 2004.
Five Residential Intellectual disable Clients create the mosaic pieces shown in the gallery under the guidance of their Art Tutor.
