La Gioconda

Insatiable carnivores devour you,
Dissect limbs, lines, light,
Compare the incomparable
To mortals.
Speculate on your capture,
Snap you.
Query the market price,
Like a cow at a mart.
Obscene carnal greed retches
Under the veneer of
Reverent tones.
Unseen, present, surfacing,
Suffocating. Hold it.
Don’t move. Keep steady.

A line between your eyes and mine,
Invisible, Accept it,
Obsidian to Emerald,
No one knows save me.
Carnelian light hot
Overhead. Noisy gibberish
Assaults delicate membranes.
Allow my look love the
Yellow bones of you. Return
The favour, see
This frame draws you in,
Hematite surrounds this
Black dog. Crystal laser
Works a hammer, fails
Cupped cheeks true gaze,
Through shutters sated.
