Before you judge this movie you must look beyond the violence. It is needed, War wasen't a basket of
peaches. This movie was made as a look into the past, and does it very well. This movie has THE BEST
CINEMATOGRAPHY I've ever seen.
No other movie has inspired me or effected me like Steven Spielberg's Saving
Private Ryan. This movie alone has inspired me more then any other picture I've
ever seen. I have a paticular love for the WWII aera because of this epic.
I have always been interested in this time in history because of my grandfathers.
Both fought all over the world in WWII, from the ruins of Anzio to the beaches of
Iro Shima. I look at making a movie, a great movie as a monument to the fighters
of this great war. Unlike other subjects, I wont rush this particular movie. I want
this to be my career picture.
I plan on spending my remaining highshool years experimenting with all forms of
film, but this paticular film of mine will always be there, until I feel i'm mature
enough and ready to make a picture. I can only hope that my finale movie will be
as wonderful or as powerful as this amazing feat in movie making.
Hail Steven Spielberg, my idol, my hero.
