| Mortar Board members demonstrate excellence in scholarship, and are among the top students on campus. Our chapter commends members who continue their excellence in scholarship and leadership at the begining of each meeting. |

| We organized the 1st Annual Outstanding Professor Award, where Mortar Board members selected their favorite professors from each of the 5 colleges. The professors were presented a plaque at the homecoming football game on October 20, 2007 in the Malone Stadium. |
| We volunteered in UP Til Dawn, an event to raise money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. *The results of our team: To be announced in the Finale coming in April Reading is Leading: We bought books to take with us while volunteering to read for children in St Francis North Pediatric Hospital, Monroe LA. |
