Sonya Blade was First played by Bridgette Wilson on the big screen and was my favorite of the two.
Sonya Blade was the first fighter in the Mortal Kombat game and she is the first female fighter introduced in this movie. She fights and kills Kano who cheats with a knife in the beginning. She uses her characteristic scissor kicks and the strength of her legs to break his neck. She travels along with Liu Kang, and Johnny Cage to the underworld of Shang Tsung. There she is captured by Shang Tsung.
After her journey into the Outworld and Shao Khan's near destruction of earth, Sonya becomes a member of Earth's own Outworld Investigation Agency. Her first mission leads her to join Liu Kang on his quest to aid the troubled thunder God, Raiden. She must survive long enough to warn her government of the new menace brought on by Quan Chi.
