Philosophy on attitude toward life.

Never stop laughing. There is no reason to. If one takes a good look at the world, humor can be taken from almost any sorce. Humor arises from incongruities in reality, things that strike us as odd or abnormal. When a person makes a witty remark, they are pointing out a fact or point of view that was not previously known. It makes us re-think our present perspective, and in the process we are amused.

In any abnormality, or strage event, there is potential for humor. Take, for instance, a scenario where one is carrying a bag full of groceries to the car. The bottom of the bag breaks, and the groceries go spilling out all over the parking lot. Now, there are two choices: one can either be angry and bitter about one's misfortune, or, see the inherent humor in the situation and laugh.

Either way, no matter what the choice is, the groceries are still there, needing to be picked up. The choice is only whether to be angry or glad during the task. There is no penalty for being lighthearted about life. On the contrary , there is, for all intents and purposes, a reward. There is, however, a penalty for being angry and dejected all of the time. That causes one to live in an unhappy, miserable world all of the time, and that is an existence hardly worth the effort of maintaining it.

"Man must never stop laughing, for if he does, he will surely begin to cry."
