Mortal Kombat Trilogy
has been released on PC, Playstation and Nintendo 64 :: |
|
|
| ::
The characters in the game (a total of 36) (4 classic),
playable and 1 secret, on pc) are from the first three games
and a number of new characters (the amount of characters
is certainly the strong point of this game). The sorylines
of the new characters is just as great as the old ones and
the storylines of the old characters matches the storylines
of Mortal Kombat 3. The overall storyline is is also taken
from MK3 ::

The playability of the characters
is about just as good as in MK3. The speed of the game however
is a bit faster then in MK3 which causes the game to get
a little chaotic sometimes. The player of the game has again
much more freedom in the game then in the past games, MK1
and MK2, which also makes the game better to play. The moves
of the characters are also slighly better then in these
games. (but again I think friendship and babalities are
not so great, it can ruin the MK-atmosphere. And also the
agressor mode seems a little useless to me). The brutalities
and animalities however are great for finishing the opponent
in MK-style

|
|
| ::
The
four attack possibilities (High punch, Low punch, High kick
and Low kick) are still the same as in the first two games,
however the characters can now run which improves the game-play
greatly and adds whole new tactic possibilities to the game.
As for the difficulties in the game, they are balanced out
worse then in the past games. Because of this the game might
get irritating sometimes for beginning MKT-players ::
