Many people compare Mortal
Kombat Gold with Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3, and also call
this game Ultimate MK 4, and they are right. MKG is a good
change on MK4 as well as ultimate in that time was on mk3

The polygons are not only the instrument for the creation
of virtual worlds. They have to come to life. MKG did this.
The game is as the real world and at the same time is so
far from it. Thanks to Dreamcast one can reach a tremendous
clear picture. 3000 polygons for every fighter are not nice
words out of advertisement but truely realism. The animation
of the characters is of high quality and it is better than
in the previous Mortal Kombat series :: |

Something else in Mortal Kombat Gold
is the returning of some "classic" characters. Kung Lao
and Cyrax are two of them, plus Sector returned as a secret
character! Just like in MK4 Goro is also in the game, only
now he has fatalities (taken from Reiko and Cage) Most kombatants
were made brilliantly but Baraka dissapointed me, his new
image was not that nice :: |

Weapons are also available
in the game, a new WEAPON button let the player choose
a favorite weapon. Its very comfortable and now its not
necessary to play with somebody only because he has your
favorite weapon. The perfection of the sound can be improved!
Great sound of mk4 became more strained and sappier. New
sound effects were added in MKG and also the good old
music from mk3. (You can listen to this music with the
cdplayer in your Dreamcast). Dan Forden is one of the
most talented composers in the world. He made his work
very talented as usual
