Sunset Stroll
Taking your hand along the path
Strolling through the golden leaves
That lay cascaded on the floor
The dampness of the autumn air
Hanging in the breeze
I hold you gently

I turn to you with a smile as bright as the sun
Your tender lips quiver as they meet mine
Such a warm embrace on this cool day
Further up the path the trees rustle
A deer and its fawn hurry ahead
We glance in their direction, but pay them no heed
As we continue our soft sensual kiss

We continue to walk along the leaf strewn path
Pausing briefly to gaze into each other's eyes
And wonder at this marvel of nature that lay before us
The naked trees creak in the wind
As we pass by, Rabbits scuttle to and fro on the path ahead
I wrap my arm around your shoulder
As we make our way deeper into the woods

Dusk begins to creep through the sky
Turning it to lilac
Cotton wool clouds are turned a shade of Pink
And pass by quickly as the sun sets in the west
Glowing a deep orange as it does so
Waving a fond farewell to another autumn day

Our casual walk has led us to the edge of the woods
Now all that is left are fields of grass
Extending as far as the eye can see
In this the twilight gloom

When I turn to you
The stars sparkling in your eyes once more
And the pink hue of the hunter's Moon
Appears over the trees

A chill in the air, forces us to turn back
To the distant lights of our white cottage
A safe haven from the perils of the night
