Autumn
Autumn rolls in on a tide of cool winds
The breeze rustles the leaves in the trees
Fading from Green to a miriad of different colours
Gently, one by one, they fall
Silently, to their resting place

The October sun, hazed in a soft blue sky
Milky clouds drift accross
and mingle with the vapour trails of distant aeroplanes

All too soon, the clouds chase the sun away
over the heavens
A grey gloom descends to herald another downpour
Rain cascades down my window
As I gaze, over the hills, to the restless sea beyond
And think only of you...

Your radiant smile brightens the darkest day
Your eyes sparkle like diamonds on a velvet cushion
Your voice as soft as an angel's kiss
Your Heart so pure
Your soul so deep and trusting

My fondness for you could never wain
Over the darkening months ahead.
