Rugby World Cup FINALS 2007 Sweet Sweet Chariots

To all the non believers remember that England are the defending champions. New Zealand were arguably the best team in the world, but were unable to fulfil their potential. South Africa are now in the unenviable position of having it all the lose, whilst England are the so say underdogs! England is a team full of ability and if you stand the Finals teams side by side there is no discernible contrast in the players. The match will be decided by the team that has the inner desire to play and keep playing until the very last second of the game. Write England off at your peril. The French as hosts have demonstrated excellent sporting appreciation of the matches so far and it is a tribute to the fans of the matches that they have shown a fine example to the world of how to support both teams fairly and to encourage teams to play to the best of their ability. There has been talk of bringing the Argentinians into a league where they can play higher level rugby, consideration it appears is being given as to whether they might join the tri nations or the six nations tournaments. From their performance in the Semi finals I would say they have earned their right of passage.

So to the Final. Here is hoping for a fine display of rugby from both teams, I'll be happy to watch the packs working the ball up field, the kick and chasing game, precision set ups for line outs and the foot race of the backs with the ball taking flight to the wings. Good luck South Africa. C'mon ENGLAND!
