An Ocean Day

So your head is pounding, you dont want to move, you roll up into the seat in the car and sleep. A short journey and as you crest over the hill the Atlantic ocean wells up in front of you. Dark parallel lines on the water stretch to the horizon, just a gentle breeze running down the beach pressing the waves up perfectly.

Last to bed, first to rise and first into the water. The first wave hits and the warm water envelops your body, not the usual piercing chill of the North shore winter swells. Then you view down through the waves to the sand and rocks littering the ocean floor, today the sea was not menacing, today was an ocean day when you could enthuse totally with the water. Like in a dream flying high on clouds, every wave softly lifting you up, gently caressing you along the shoulder breaking line and then full of energy each wave peaked up and released you high into the air before catching and wrapping you up in pillows.

Cornwall

Last weekend we piled down to see Jiggy in Penzance. Jiggy works at the Minack Theatre, A unique open air amphitheatre carved out of the rocks of Porthcurno.

After a trundle down the M5 and a quick tyre change we parked up in a field and headed off to check out the town's night life. It did not fail to impress and no sooner had we arrived than we were mixing with the revellers in the quirky pirate bars and bouncing through the side door of the club.

Now Cornwall in the summertime is all about the young party goers raging into the early hours and then when the early hours become the early morning, sleep becomes a non entity. Especially when the Sennen web cam is showing some fine surf with a predicted big swell on its way.

Hurley Baby

Spent the evening at Hurley with Sparky and Chris. The warm weather and three gates brought out the masses. Everybody and their dog was there, okay no dogs but you know what I mean. My shoulder is still a bit duff but I had a laugh and real good time spinning around, blunting, looping and doing scooby eddyline melt downs. :-)
