Morro Bay Shinty Club
January 2006 Morro Bay Chamber of Commerce invited our Shinty team (formerly the San Luis Obispo Shinty Club est April 2004) to come to beautiful Morro Bay .

The players accepted the proposal. With the Chamber of Commerce's help, we are  now nearing obtaining the permit to use the Morro Bay High School Football Stadium  for our practices after minor changes with our insurance policy which is $2milion dollar liability coverage with some medical cover in addition. Up to June  we were limited to practicing at the limited space of Baseball Parks. We practice every sunday at 3pm .Just bring sportswear with shinguards .We do have loaner shinty equipment.

We want more players . In 2007 we are planning a 14 day tour to Scotland. We hope to take 15-20 players decided upon  attendance points for attending  weekly practices. The tour will also be of educational and historical interest.
