Dear Friend, Hello
Thank you for your interest in our villa in Italy. Vacations are difficult to arrange and risky at best when one decides to take a trip overseas, especially when not going through a recognized travel agent or familiar agency. However, my family and I would like to help in familiarizing you with our home in Italy.
My wife and I lived in the villa for several years until we decided to return to North America. The villa had been our home for nearly five years and holds many indelible memories. Although we now live in the States, we still consider it our primary home and visit each year usually for the month of June. The villa is nestled within a known vacation resort at the outskirts of Lamezia Terme. Lamezia is a city of approximately one hundred thousand about two hundred and fifty miles south of Naples and about an hour-and- a -half drive from Reggio Calabria where a fairy can be taken across the Straits of Messina to Sicily. Its international airport has flights to and from various European cities as well as direct flights from Toronto, Canada and New York.
The villa itself is a two-story home with three bedrooms upstairs, two of which have access to a balcony. A bathroom upstairs has a bath and shower and a large vanity. Downstairs, you'll find your living room with a wood-burning fireplace adjacent to a spacious kitchen with gas range, refrigerator and a small dishwasher. The kitchen is fully equipped with all the necessary china and cutlery. A small bathroom includes a shower and a washing machine.
The back yard has a patio equipped with various garden furniture as well as a lovely garden with flowers and palm trees. A small front yard also is interspersed with gracious flowers and a lovely Washington Palm tree. The entire villa is encircled with high hedges to ensure privacy.
During your stay, our close friend Cinzia will see to it that all functions well. She will greet you at the airport upon your arrival, accompany you to the villa, and show you around the home and the resort. She will be available to sort out any potential problems or questions you might have.
Expect a clean, well-functioning home, completely furnished, clean linen and towels, a TV, radio, and air-conditioning; but most of all; expect the genteel, cultured manners of southern Italians, that has bestowed the legacy of being so simpatico.
Sincerely,
Morris and Birgit Cavalieri
