We all know the earth has an energy. Matter, life, the very spark of whence we all came. It does not matter who or what created the earth and all the beings...somehow we got here and are of the material found here on our planet. But over the milenia we have polluted it. For thousands of years humanity struggled to evolve, to make life better for the next generation. The 20th and 21st centuries will see the techonoligical fruits of that labor. But now we spew toxins into the air, pour garbage and filth into the seas, puncture deep wells in the skin of the earth just to keep our cars moving.

And everywhere you look, disaster strikes. Hurricaines sweep in and kill. Tornadoes blow away our homes, all that protects us from natures fury. Volcanoes erupt, again moving communities. Now the global warming is threatening to melt the ice caps and raise sea level, submerging many coastal cities over the next century.

What if this is her plan? What if mother earth has grown tired of her spoiled children? What if, after millenia of caring for us, Earth has grown weary of supporting such a greedy lifeform? When we get the flu, our body fights to extinguish the virus. It sends white cells to snuff out the bad, to bring itself back to homeostasis.

What if we are the virus, and Earth has put up with our presence long enough?
