For all those people who think peace is possible, I have one simple reason why it is not.  Because I disagree with you.  Most will probably say, “Who does he think he is saying such a thing?  As if his words have more meaning than mine!”  If that was your approach to my statement, you’re dead wrong.  I’m no better than the rest and no, my opinion doesn’t matter more.  The truth of my statement is in the meaning of the words.  There can not be peace in the world unless everyone stops disagreeing.  Which of course is never going to happen.  The fact that I’m allowed to disagree with you allows me the options to elevate you to the enemy.

Wars are not about killing, they are about imposing an ideal.  About forcing others to agree with your opinion.  That is what all war really amount to, even invasions throughout the 13th century, where the invaders utterly destroyed the enemy and the cities.  They were imposing their ideology on the enemy; only their ideology told them to leave no one alive.

The issue of ‘peace’ is an oxymoron.  How can peace be available without the will to engage opposing views?  If you set down your armament and decide to offer flowers instead, is it expected of an enemy to do the same?  And what do you do when the enemy does not set aside his arms, but feel the cold tinge of death at the end of his sword?  The truth is that peace is made possible through the sacrifice of war.  War is a sacrifice, the ultimate kind.  It is a sacrifice that says you are willing to die for enforcing the belief system you agree with.

Peace is not possible in our time.

Our very way of life is at stake.

Freedom to choose red wine with dinner is at stake.

Freedom to get laid on a Saturday night by a complete stranger is at stake.

Freedom to have seven children in a family that can only afford two is at stake.

Freedom to travel without checkpoints and armed guards and government agencies with questions about why you need to travel.

Freedom to spank your child without the government telling you that it is morally un-ethical to ‘harm’ the child.

Freedom to be a moral less, heartless, anti-American, atheist, without the government locking you away for the safety of others…and worse, yourself.

Freedom to think up reason why freedom is important.

Freedom is at stake.  My will to have freedom is my opinion I impose on the world by being a United States citizen.  If Iraq doesn’t like my ideas of freedom then enemies as they are shall they too remain.  It all boils down to this:  the freedom to disagree.  Our enemies don’t believe in this concept.  Our enemies would destroy us for our disagreement.   Therefore it is our responsibility to our ideals to engage the enemy and destroy his disagreement.

As for the peaceniks, by opposing military force, you prove yourselves wrong, because you use your freedom to disagree in an attempt to support the opposition’s opinion of not being allowed to disagree.  You’re fools.  Krissy Hind of the pretenders said, “I hope we loose...”  I have words for her and her kind:

If you’re right and we loose, then you will no longer be free to say “I hope we loose”…most likely the entertainers, like yourself, whom don’t want to play ball will simply disappear one day.  And if I could stand the ugliness of a world of oppression built on your socialism, then I would laugh on that day when I received my daily ration of food and the label read: “Krissy Hind Mix”.
