WORKING PHILOSOPHY / WORLDVIEW / METANARRATIVE

which I reserve the right to change if confronted with evidence of my own hypocrisy.

1.  Jesus Christ is God incarnate.  Jesus made it all.  "Jesus paid it all; all to Him I owe."

2.  The wall between musician and listener (artist and art appreciator) should be knocked down.  The artist often contributes to the building of the wall through his/her love of money, apathy, moral compartmentalism, and pride.  The art appreciator often contributes to the maintenance of the wall through his/her deification of a fellow sinner.

This is not a justification, in any way, for copyright violations, such as, but not limited to,
unauthorized CD "burning," which is forbidden in the Eighth Commandment:  "Thou shalt not steal."

3.  Art for the sake of art is nothing more than a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal (I Corinthians chapter 13.)  Christians have a higher calling.

4.  The life of the Christian artist should, like any other believer's, center around Christ.  This should be evident in his/her non-art activities as well as in his/her art.
