Moronic_Kaos Phone Phreaking

Okay I know this site looks like crap because right now im working on some flash shit but I just wanted to get this posted ASAP because people may find this very useful and I want to make myself look like a big shot, lol
This is a guide that will allow you to take an OLD Motorola Flip Phone (exact models I have no idea because I cannot find where they are printed on the phone, but it seems to work with every one of them I try) and trick Verisign into thinking its a valid phone!!! The only thing is is that the calls are very expensive and you will not be able to RECIEVE calls, only make them (kinda like a portable pay phone). Since they have no idea what your adress is, they cannot send you a bill. So you can either make a collect call (verisign service) or use a credit card or a phone card. I don't exactly know what sort of phone card because it just tells you to punch in the phone card number. Anyway if you ever figure out how the phone card thing works and can crack that then youve got a free cellular service (after applying setting which are on this page)
This trick is actually posted on various parts of the internet but they can be quite confusing. Like they'll tell you to punch in a MID number and you'll say to yourself "WTF is that?" This guide explains everything button for button what to press.
The first thing you will need to do is to get into that part of the phone that the dealer applies settings to. This can be sort of tricky since you will need the security codes. Typically however they are either set to either of these:
123456 or
000000
Of course you may try as many times as you wish the security code. To try to enter the settings using the security code, you punch in "FCN", then "0" and then the security code twice. So say the security code is 000000, you would punch in "FCN" then "0" plus 12 zeros (because the security code must be typed in twice) ending up with thirteen zeros, then press "RCL" (note that when you punch in the zeros the should NOT display on the screen, it should just look like your not doing anything, it should however beep every time you press a button)
After you have figured this out it will flash the words "enter number" for a few moments and then it will most likely display the last phone number the phone was programmed for. When the phone is roaming, it does not check to see if this is a valid number to the service, it just checks to see if it is a valid number to the area. If it is not valid to the area, it assumes that the phone is roaming. We will program in a number that looks valid but will be roaming whereever you go. I typically use the number "860-608-9999". Theoretaccly this number would have been for the area of Connecticut but i live there and it still thinks its roaming. It doesn't matter how many people use the same number or how many people use it at once so feel free to use that one. The reason this number will work and not the number "860-608-1396" is because that number is already registered to somebody and you would have to match their settings that follow. After typing in that number, press "STO" br>
For the country code I cannot say much because I dont know what everyone's county code is. All I know is that for the USA the country code is 310, press "STO" after typing that in.
For Network Code I use the number 01 but im not too sure if this does much anything. Press "STO" after typing this in.
For this next thing AMPS System ID i believe this has something to do with Identifying the phone. In my experience this number doesn't matter, it just must be 5 digits long. Press "STO" after typing this in.
CDMA System Id is the same thing as the AMPS thing. Just make it 5 digits (can be the same number as the AMPS). Then press "STO".
Same applies for CDMA Network ID.
for CDMA primary channel A, primary channel B, and secondary A and b just make them any 3 digit numbers. Press "STO" at the end of each.
If the security code is anything but 000000 change it to 000000 because then you can just type in "FCN", thirteen 0's, and then "RCL" to get back into these settings.
I dont know what the lock code is but just set it to something easy to remember like "123" or something. then press "STO".
For "How many numbers" press 1 and then "STO"
It'l then say "entry done" and search and eventually find a tower.
When you call somebody, just type in any 7 digit number and then it will call the Verisign Roaming Service. At first this sounds like the same guy that says "Your Phone is not valid" but he'll say that you are going to be forwarded to an operator. Apparently they think that a computer is an operator because thats what it forwards you to. Then that computer tells you the rates (REALLY REALLY EXPENSIVE) and tells you that you can make a collect call, a calling card call, or charge it to your credit card. Once you select whatever, and punch in the persons phone number, then you'll be in buisness!
if at the beggining of the menu u see a mid or min or something like that (there may be two of them) punch in 860-608-9999 for both.
