i dont think having night terrors is an uncommom experience in most people. but maybe thats just a misconception i have because i have them quite often. i recently started having a new one since i moved here to missouri that i have found quite intriguing/disturbing. i live in my sisters basement next to the laundry room and she regularly does late night wash cycles. the particular dryer that she owns has a rather loud buzzer that goes off at 3 minute intervals for the last 30 minutes of the drying cycle. this buzzer cannot be turned off or otherwise silenced, i have tried many times with no luck. everytime i fall asleep to the sound of the laundry tumbeling in the dryer i find myself strapped to a damp mattress in a stale old dimly lit basement. and everytime the buzzer sounds its feeding time. a large disfigured man comes down the stairs and stands over me with his broken teeth shining in the dim light through his lipless mouth. his face looks sad and he places one hand on my head and one finger to his mouth in a gesture to silence me as he starts his chain saw. at regular 3 minute intervals he comes down the stairs to remove one of my limbs and as i scream in agony he discards my limb on the floor and returns upstairs. out of the corner his disfigured limbless child writhes out of the darkness pulling himself forward with stubbed arms to feast on my freshly cut limb. and he looks up at me with a bloody grin as he feasts. its more than fucked up, its just plain wrong. i tried for some time to get past it by purposely setting the dryer and changing the dream, but it never worked. it was the same every time and even though i knew it was a dream i could not wake up. i have several others which are far to deranged to discuss, all of which i die in long before i am able to wake up, and all of which often make me question my own sanity. i have a feeling that most people experience these types of dreams at some point in time but just dont discuss them. i have no idea how to rid my self of them so if you end up having any luck let me know. take care. adios. |
