Adam: Arguably
the hardest debate topic we have done yet.
I pulled up a roster of the entire NHL and started picking all my
favorites in an effort to knock down the list and then I was planning on
posting that list and just picking my winner from it, but it turns out that
list has over 30 names on it, and that’s after I went through it. So here are my official picks, if you want
to hear some more picks feel free to let me know.

Honorary Picks: Best Coach Name: Punch Imlach
Best Ref Name: Don Van Massenhoven
Arica: I love hockey. Especially the Buffalo Sabres, which is why this weeks debate actually made me pretty happy. Which is also why I am going to award best hockey name to the Buffalo Sabres' very own Teppo Numminen. I mean seriously, it just rolls off the tongue. I would also, like to award a second and third place pick, since this was such a fun one and go ahead and also recognize Carlo Colaiacovo (for second because I am a sucker for alliteration) and Sako Koivu because... well look at that name, amazing.
Kevin: The best
hockey team name would have to be the Pittsburgh Penguins. Why you ask? Because it is the only team in the entire NHL that logically
belongs on ice. All the others would suck
(and quite frankly do). It could be
argued that an avalanche would be found on ice, but you also need a mountain to
get the avalanche moving. Out of
context the Islanders and Canadians could technically be found on ice but they
wouldn't survive long. I rest my case.

Best Game Show Host

Adam: As usual I
will pick a few. Here are my picks in
what I believe is the correct order.
First up, the winner is gonna have to be Bob Barker, to our generation Bob is the game show host. Everyone remembers being home sick from
middle school, sitting on the couch drinking ginger ale watching Bob on the
Price is Right while guessing the cost of a can of pinto beans. In second place, Marc Summers. The man overcame Obsessive Compulsive
Disorder to host one of the messiest shows of all time, even without OCD its
hard to stand next to someone while they are getting a bucket of slime dumped
on them. Finally the honorable mention
goes to Wink Martindale. Despite having
the best game show host name, he is the quintessential game show host. When game show hosts are mocked on cartoons
and shows like the Muppets they are always modeled after Wink, he is the game
show host.
Arica: My pick for this week’s debate is Alex Trebek. Not only is he the host of the best game show on television but also he's Canadian and I've got a soft spot for Canadians.

Alexander Trebek (aka - Alex Trebek) -
he is either really smart or just plays one on TV. A guy that can pretend to be
smart on TV and convince everyone that he is should think about running for
President. He is qiuck to make
comments, usually knows his fair share of random crap, and can make fun of a
contestant without them even realizing it.
I am sure he could beat everyone from either party (and there are a lot
of them vying for position). I would
vote for Alex, too bad he's Canadian.
