How I came to be a Merchant
Even as he haggled with the Nadrak in front of him he watched her. Something about this Drasnian caught was peculiar, well, more so then the average Drasnian.
"Hey, you! Geese, I guess all Thulls are dumb," the rather annoying Nadrak said, regaining Daervon's attention.
"Wait a minute," Daervon thought, as he look at the Nadrak's face, he looks almost identical to the man I robbed and killed last night. "Ahh I have a dagger that looks just right for you," Daervon said, grinning. As he lay the dagger out on the table he could see the man's face light up.
'Amazing!" the man exclaimed, "It looks just like my brother’s, I must have it to show him when he gets back in town."
"One hundred gold and it's yours my friend,” Daervon said.
"Deal!" the Nadrak replied, counting out 100 gold and then hurrying off.
"You know, you could've gotten more for that dagger. " A female voice said. Even before he looked up he had a hunch it was that Drasnian he had been watching, and as he looked up he found out he was right.
'I so wish I could be there when he realises that is his brother's dagger, and his brothers is floating along in a nearby river. " Daearvon said, grinning evilly.
"How the dead do float, " she said, causing him to chuckle. "Mind if we step inside your tent for a second?" she asked.
"Certainly," he answered, checking to see if he had his dagger on him, as many of men wanted his head.
Stepping inside he offered her some ale, "No thanks," she replied. "I'll cut straight to the point, I want you to join my group of merchants," she stated rather then asked.
"I don't know, I make plenty working on my own. Although the boss can be a real ass," he said, making her laugh.
"I bet this will change your mind," she said, pulling a large sack out from inside her cloak. As she opened it his jaw dropped at how much red gold it contained.
'Alright I'm in!" Daervon said enthusiastically.
"Ok. Take this map and follow it," she said, then she took her gold and began to walk out.
"Wait. Mind if I get your name?" Darcon asked.
"It's Reidia," she answered, and then she walked off.
