Well, this series is about the interaction between the Dijinni, Bartimaeus, and his "master", Nathaniel. In the first book, Nathaniel is a new young wizard seeking revenge upon an older wizard of higher rank. He conjurs Bartimaeus, behind his master's back, to help him. In the second book, Nathaniel, now John Mandrake, is in the department of internal affairs trying to solve the mystery of a group of commoners called the resistance. If I went into greater depth on the contents of these wonderfully written, exciting, fast-paced books, it would ruin them. |
