The following are characters that are for the use of all involved in the game. Use them - but please, keep them in character.
Belfi
Headwoman at Harper Hall
Like headwomen all around Pern, Belfi is well organised. She runs a tight kitchen, and abhors waste. Tall and imposing with a severe bun of black hair, and small brown eyes that don't miss a thing, Belfi seems unapproachable until you get to know her. She's kind to apprentices, and often pretends to be looking the other way on baking day, affecting surprise that the team in the kitchen hadn't baked as much as she'd originally thought.
Brin
Healer Apprentice at Harper Hall
The only child of Bronnely and Gilley, Brin is 16 turns old. Both his parents are Healers and teachers at the Healer Hall. Currently posted to Harper Hall, Brin looks forward to gaining full status as a Healer just like his parents. He is a quick learner and loves to help people, and animals. His first patient was a little runner with a sore foot. He spent several seven days nursing the runner he named Lefty because he injured his left foot. Brin is easy going and has many friends. He hardly ever gets into trouble, though he does like to try and sneak hot bubbly pies from the kitchen. But he always gets caught. Brin is tall for his age. He has blue-green eyes, blond hair, medium build, and a quick smile. The girls all think he is dreamy and always ask him to dance at Gathers or walk in the gardens.

Cortin
Master of Musical Theory at Harper Hall
With a long sullen face, Master Cortin sports a shock of thick black hair, graying at the temples, that often needs cutting. His sharp penetrating black eyes make even the other Masters check their work. Master Cortin is known for his exacting ways with the apprentices and students. He rarely teaches the low level apprentices, saving his precise ways for the seniors and journeymen. Of course anyone studying close with Cortin is great at what they do. He has replaced a number of journeymen teaching under him for not sufficiently preparing the early apprentices.
Della
student at Harper Hall
With silky long dark straight hair and big brown heavily lashed eyes, Della is the daughter of a minor holder. She's not actually that good at singing or playing instruments, but her parents believe that a Harper Hall education is the only one worth paying for. She's being groomed for marriage and decoration only, and it's just the lifestyle she wants. Dilettante is her second name.
Elena
journeyman at Harper Hall
Journeywoman Elena is of average height and slim weight, 29. Her long naturally waving dark blond hair is on the strawberry side and has a softening effect on her dark engaging eyes. She arrived at the harper hall as a paid student, but was encouraged to become an apprentice by Master Michan. Once thought to be the up and coming soprano, it was found that she couldn�t manage the range and Michan railed about the mezzo-soprano�s curse. Elena, on the other hand, was not disappointed and eagerly accepted the promotion to journeywoman in order to give the encouragement in voice training that Michan sometimes forgets. Naturally self-effacing, Elena has no desire to travel or be the center of attention, though she does often join in a female trio for special pieces. Elena has refused all male advances on her, she�s smitten with Journeyman Pleibo, though the man sees next to nothing outside his work. Her green, Loni, is never far from her side and always singing. The flitter is very friendly and if not good at remembering things, at least she doesn't often get into trouble.
Frantisek
Master Archivist at Harper Hall
Of average height, and more than averagely bad tempered, Master Frantisek has bright blue eyes, which seem even more startling in shade because of their bloodshot surrounds. His hair, once dark, is now mostly gray, and is receding all over, giving a clue to his advancing years. He is intolerant of most people, preferring solitude to fools, and apprentices find him scary to say the least. Not surprisingly he never married.
Hilona
undercook at Harper Hall
A consummate perfectionist, at 22 turns the undercook expects all of her plans to work out and thus comes across as quite pushy in her endeavors.
Illanik
apprentice at Harper Hall
Illy is 16, average in height and a little on the pudgy side with straight black hair and black eyes. He's not the most outspoken of apprentices, but has a surprisingly clear baritone and a way with instrument crafting. He�s still in awe at being accepted to the Hall and is bound to �tell� on his peers to stay in the good graces of the Masters.
Jaggir
journeyman at Harper Hall
Jaggir is a quiet 32, at least when it comes to conversation. His chin length straight brown hair is always rocking in time to his improvising. Long fingers, so good at the harp and gitar, are always tapping out an experimental rhythm, his hazel eyes lost in thoughts of notes and lyrics. When you can catch his attention, he�s very friendly, even outgoing -- *IF* you can catch his attention. Jaggir can twist lyrics, and find rhymes easily. If someone is stuck writing lyrics, this is the person you want to see.
Misa
Master Nesper's wife at Harper Hall
The Drummaster�s wife is thin to the point of looking frail, though not lacking in vigor. A redhead in her youth, her hair has settled to a bright chestnut, surrounding a pale face and blue eyes. Devoted to her husband, she�s become as soft spoken as he and welcomes the troubled lads (or lasses) who might get sent by way of the drum tower. Green Sass had to be taught early to keep her natural chattiness in check while in the drum tower. She's one of the most reliable greens around when it comes to delivering messages.
Nesper
DrumMaster at Harper Hall
With rusty brown, thinning hair and hazel eyes, Drum Master Nesper is slightly taller than average and carries only a touch more weight than necessary. He tends to speak in a low, quick voice, never wanting to miss the rumble of a distant drum. A tendency to tip one ear toward you and stare into the middle-distance makes him appear uninterested most of the time. But when he�s not on duty he makes a great confidant, often hearing more than what is said. Many a troubled apprentice has turned to he and his wife for comfort during a rough time.
Nitis
apprentice at Harper Hall
Nitis is of average height and build, with slanted green eyes and blondish-brown curly hair. He's somewhat devious, as only a 12 turn old boy can be, and covers his tracks well, if a little dishonorably at times. He's always right there if something interesting is going on, and can be counted on to pass the word around if there's anything out of the ordinary happening at the Hall.
Olin
Cotholder, boards students at Harper Hall
50+ and plump, Olin refuses to talk about her past. It�s said that she lost a husband and child years ago, but few know for certain. With short, graying hair, round cheeks and welcoming brown eyes, Olin makes the students who room with her feel very much at home.
Pleibo
journeyman at Harper Hall
Of average height and sturdy build, Pleibo is a solemn-looking young man. His tanned skin complements his green eyes and sandy hair, and while attractive to the women at the Hall, he takes his job far too seriously to notice.
Taura
headcook at Harper Hall
At 30 turns of age, the robust headcook prides herself on keeping her "family" well fed and runs a tight kitchen to do so. When not in her domain, she can usually be found tending one of her stills or engrossed in a card game.
