Before my first surgery in September 2001. Me and my great surgery Nurse.
Post surgery
This was pre-surgery either the second or the third time. (Mommy thinks the second time.)
This is me and "Andrea the Great"...she is one of my plastic surgeons. We are posing on the Children's ward with the Christmas tree. (2001)
Me practicing to be a doctor. I've got a strong heartbeat!
It's not all fun, so luckily there is my thumb to help me through it.
Still smiling!
Time out for games at the hospital.
Before my last two surgeries I got Meds that induce amnesia. (The doctors were afraid I might be to the point of needing to forget.) They told mom the meds would make me "drunk". This is me the little "drunkard".
Doctor's office as usual. IV's, IV's, IV's...
I
f nobody cared, and nobody smiled, and nobody helped us along, If every moment looked after itself, and good things always went to the strong, If nobody thought just a little about you, and nobody cared about me, and we stood all alone in the battle of life, what a dreary old world this would be. Life is sweet because of the friends we have made, and the things in common we share, we want to live on, not because of ourselves but because of the people who care. It is doing and giving for somebody else, on which all life's splendor depends, and the joy of this world, when you've summed it all up, is found in the making of friends. ~unknown~
