Ok, so, you've taken the time. Now, I'll tell you a little about myself.
My name is Colleen. As of right now, I live in the Detroit, Michigan area. It's a pretty good city. I've been traveling for a while, so it's nice to be home again after so long.
As I said on the first page, I do very much love music and movies. I appreciate all forms of both. Obviously, though, I have my favorites. Some of my favorites are as follows...David Bowie, The Cure, Mindless Self-Indulence, Orbital, Underworld, The Sex Pistols, Massive Attack, Dave Mathews, V N V Nation, Humans Bow Down, Tori Amos, Afghan Whigs, Morphine, Jane's Addiction, Bouncing Souls, Eels, Dead Can Dance, Enigma, Macy Gray, Lords Of Acid, Ogre, Mr. Bungle, Moby, Poe, A Perfect Circle, Revolting Cocks, Switchblade Symphony, Rasputina, Tricky, Razed In Black, Type O Negative, Vast, Wyclef Jean, Dido, Bjork, and Madonna. I'm sure there's more, but I'll stop there. That's all off the top of my head. I know, that's a lot, but when you think about just how many bands there are...this list is VERY short. So, As you can see...I have a wide varriety of interests. Oh...My favorite of all time; song and writer, would have to be Bethoven, Fur Elise. So, add that to the mix.
Movies? Well, I have a sizeable collection for someone that doesn't make a lot of money. I now own about 517 movies as of 3.22.5. What type, you ask? Well, movies from Forces of Nature to almost all of the Nightmare On Elm Street series. Down Periscope to Gladiator. Kalifornia (yes, that's spelled right) to Fearless. I own the brat pack collection and am collecting John Cusack's movies. My favorites usually lie in the horror category, but I love all movies. I am especially partial to cheesy '80's flicks. Some movies that I am planning on getting next are....Cry Baby, Sid And Nancy, any David Bowie movie that I do not have and SLC Punk. However...there are a lot of movies that I don't have, and I plan to have a room in my home filled with movies.
So, what else do you want to know? Like I said, I love travel. I've spent a lot of time in Michigan. All over the lower penninsula and a few places in the upper penninsula. That's where I was born...Lansing, Mi. Some other places I've been to and/or lived...Sarasota, Bradenton, Anna Marie Island, Siesta Key, Jacksonville Florida and a lot of other cities in Florida, Cincinnati, Cleveland and Dayton Ohio, Chicago, Springfield and other cities in Illinois, Gary indiana, The Rocky Mountains, Denver, Colorado, Atlanta, Ga, Nashville, Tn, louisville, KY, St Louis and Osage Beach, Missouri, Virginia and West Virginia, North and South Carolina and even out of the country to Canada. These are some of the places off the top of my head. I've traveled by automobile a lot, so I could never fit all of the places I've been on this page. I hope to get further West and further South one day. Why do I travel? Well, I don't want to be 75 years old and wondering why I never went exploring. I have plenty of time to settle down. I might not be able to travel in the future.
I have made a lot of friends along the way...and a lot of enimies. However, I have nothing to regret, and I hope that those that I have met don't regret meeting me. If nothing else, I have learned something from everyone that I have encountered. I have done a lot of growing up in the process, and I am sure that I have a lot more to do yet. So, no, I don't think that I know everything. "I know what I know if you know what I mean." Even though I may have not kept in touch with everyone...I will never forget those that I have spent time with...they've helped make me who I am, and I can not forget that.
No, if you were to ask, I could not say that I am innocent. I have 'been there and done that' as some would say. However, I don't drink. I quit cigarettes, and I don't even ingest caffeine. Straight edge? *insert strong laughter here* No. I still eat meat and have sex. I just try to do as little as possible to screw up my body any more than I already have though. Hell, I still eat fast food and breath our air. Isn't that enough pollution? I went through several years doing all those things you think of when you think of a vagabond, and it got boring to be honest.
When I said I didn't regret anything..I truly believe that, and I will live my life never regretting anything, but that goes without saying that there are things that wish would have gone differently, but I wouldn't be the same, nor would I have had the same life. So, I wouldn't change anything...I just hope that I can bring closure to some things that I haven't and bring some people or places back into my life.
So, I am 4'10'', I weigh 120lbs, dyed red hair and green eyes. My left eye is half brown. I have 10 tattoos. I did have piercings, but I have taken them out...I got bored.
I am a writer, but I haven't been writing much lately. Who knows..lack of concentration I guess. Lack of inspiration. I write short stories, poems and horror stories. Only my poems have been published so far, but that's because I am lazy and haven't gotten anything else out there. I hope to be settled enough one day to continue though. I am working on a new project though. I am working on a line of clothing to present to some of the shops around here. Here's to dreaming...
I guess for the first time in my life though.. I can say that I have someone in my life that makes me happy... my daughter, Morgan Elise. She's awesome!
Besides that..I don't have a lot more to say as of now. I am still refining, so I'll do more as it comes to mind. |
