| Call Me Cupid - Chapter 7 - by ziggy Still clutching the shower curtain tightly around her, Brenda moved out to the porch to watch as Jason rode up on his bike. She was barely hanging onto her temper. She said nothing as his lean form climbed over that monstrosity of a motorcycle and approached her. "You dont have a modest bone in your body, do you? You should know better than to stand butt naked on the front porch." Damn it! Jason hadnt meant to start a fight with her right off the bat, he usually liked to work up to it. Her eyes narrowed. "You should have thought about that before you walked off with my clothes!" He held back the laugh that was bubbling up inside him. "Im sorry about that but I needed to make sure you were still here when I got back so we could talk. Could you . . . lets go inside." He couldnt explain why her standing in front of him with nothing but a shower curtain was bothering him, but it was. Wrenching out of his grip as they walked into the living room, Brenda turned on him. "Talk. Talk!?! I dont need to talk to you . . . I need to talk to Jax. And then I need to go shove Carlys broomstick up her . . ." "Jax is fine. I saw him at Carlys and we had a nice little talk about commitment." He hid the grin, thinking that there was no way in hell he would tell her what was actually said. "Here. Theres your clothes." He threw a bag at her feet. She really needed to get some clothes on or he wouldnt be able to continue. The sight of her bare shoulders was driving him nuts. Her eyes narrowed suspiciously as he continued. "And speaking of commitment, we need to talk about last night." His sentence was cut short by the fist that connected with his gut and knocked all the air out of him. Damn but she had a solid punch for such a tiny thing. "I dont want to talk to you. I dont want to hear anything you have to say. Im getting dressed and then were flying to the Dominican Republic for that annulment so that when I DO talk to Jax, Ill win some points that way." She said through clenched teeth, then turned on her heel and headed up the stairs to her bedroom. Jason sighed. Hed known this wasnt going to be easy. She didnt want to hear what he had to say? Okay, actions spoke louder - wasnt that the saying? Rubbing his stomach (he just knew there was going to be a bruise), he trailed her up the stairs. Not bothering to knock, he opened the door and walked right into the bedroom. She had just thrown the bag of clothes down on the bed and whirled around at his abrupt entrance into the room. "What the hell . . ." She watched as he knelt down and poked his head under the bed, then started looking all around it. "What are you doing now?" she fumed. "Looking for condom wrappers, cause unless youre on the pill . . ." he trailed off. "What are you . . .?" Then suddenly his meaning hit her. Oh no. He was actually going to try and get her to believe that theyd slept together?? She shook her head in denial. "Dont even try to . . . no, thats just ridiculous." He raised his eyebrows. "As ridiculous as that little love bite on your neck?" He watched in hidden amusement as her jaw clenched in fury and sparks flew out of her eyes. Jason stood silently waiting to see what shed do or say next. But nothing prepared him for the reality. With an evil smile, she reached up, undid the shower curtain and let it fall around her feet. "What are you doing?? Are you crazy?" Jason quickly turned his head, but not before catching a glimpse of everything hed been trying not to imagine. Brenda slowly walked to the bed and picked up the bag with her clothes. "If what youre trying to make believe is true . . . its nothing you havent seen before." She headed for the bathroom. "Nothing you havent seen . . . touched . . . maybe even . . tasted." The door shut behind her leaving Jason in pure mental agony at her words. |
