| This mysterious Jedi Master discovered Ki-Adi Mundi when he was four years of age. Despite his age, she was able to convince the Jedi Council to train him, and was eventually schooled by Yoda. The Dark Woman is also known for her inability to train Aurra Sing, a vicious bounty hunter with an intense hatred for Jedi. Through no fault of her own, the Dark Woman could not get the young bounty hunter to be attuned to the Force, and carried Aurra's betrayal like a stone around her neck. The Dark Woman was distinguished by her silvery hair and strong features. She is known by the Jedi Council for her highly unorthodox training methods. She visited Ki-Adi Mundi on Coruscant to warn him of the dark side lurking in a future mission to Tatooine, in which he would find the lost Jedi Master Sharad Hett and his son A'Sharad amongst Tusken Raiders. Unfortuately, The Dark Woman was correct. Her former padawan, Aurra Sing, killed Master Sharad and left his son an orphan. Luckily, Ki-Adi took A'Sharad as his padawan. Later in the years, The Dark Woman offered to take over A'Sharad's training, as he held a high amount of bitterness from his father's death. The boy had brushed the Dark Side one too many times. Mundi did concede, but only temporarily. As the Republic began to crumble, The Dark Woman fled to Cophrigin 5 in the Outer Rim to retire and allow the Force to guide her life. During the Jedi Purge, The Dark Woman was found to be hiding on the planet approximately 2 years before Star Wars Episode IV. She was executed by Darth Vader himself, whom she had known when he was a child and a Jedi Padawan. However, The Dark Woman did not go down without a fight. It was truly a duel of the fates. Finally, the Dark Woman resolved to her fate after a flurry of mind tricks and torturous "cat and mouse" games. She was struck down by Vader. Her extermination is not without irony. After she perished, her body vanished and a beautiful flower sprang forth. Darth Vader promptly killed the sign of love in a fit of rage. |
