This is my first entry and I'm nervous about what to write. Instead of typing on this thing I should be writing some jokes. I'm performing in Albuquerque next week and I have no clue on jokes I should do. That's one thing about me as a comic: I don't get scared of trying out new material. It's a strange feeling that one gets after telling jokes for a couple of years then realize that a "new" joke can make the audience turn on you. And they do. Alot of people in the buisness get so comfortable doing the same act over and over that it sometimes sounds rehearsed. That's the thing, audiences know it's rehearsed. For the most part. But as a performer you should make it sound like it's just for the people in front of you. You still get some of those that come up after the show and say things like, "That thing you said... You should right that down. That was funny. In my mind I'm thinking, "I did... about a year ago. God! You liked that? I hate that joke. You know nothing. Go away." Okay, That's a bit harsh. But one is there own worst critic.
