The Da Vinci Code
By: Dan Brown
With The Da Vinci Code, Dan Brown masterfully concocts an intelligent and lucid thriller that marries the gusto of an international murder mystery with a collection of fascinating esoteria culled from 2,000 years of Western history. Brown has created a page-turning thriller that also provides an amazing interpretation of Western history. Brown's heros embark on a lofty and intriguing exploration of some of Western culture's greatest mysteries--from the nature of the Mona Lisa's smile to the secret of the Holy Grail. Though some will quibble with the veracity of Brown's conjectures, therein lies the fun. The Da Vinci Code is an enthralling read that provides rich food for thought.
Jesus: The Evidence
By: Ian Wilson
I.W attempts to be both honest and neutral, "just the facts" you understand. In doing so he repeats (more or less) what has been said for the past three hundred years from people who have taken the time to objectively study the origins of the most important faith in the world.
Many sections are weak from a technical point of view but none more so than the first on documents. It is a breezy, strictly for the layman review of how the Gospels originated. (Robin Lane Fox's THE UNAUTHORIZED VERSION is an excellent source for this subject.) Wilson opines on the existence of Jesus since no contemporary witnesses exist. He discusses the "Jewish" question, then why he was killed, the Resurrection, and last - and most important - how a lowly Jewish rabbi was transformed into the creator of the universe.

The Truth Behind the Da Vinci Code: A Challenging Response to the Bestselling Novel
From the Inside Flap
Holy Blood, Holy Grail
By: Michael Baigent, Richard Leigh, Henry Lincoln
The Authors of The Messianic Legacy, spent over 10 years on their own kind of quest for the Holy Grail, into the secretive history of early France. What they found, researched with the tenacity and attention to detail that befits any great quest, is a tangled and intricate story of politics and faith that reads like a mystery novel. It is the story of the Knights Templar, and a behind-the-scenes society called the Prieure de Sion, and its involvement in reinstating descendants of the Merovingian bloodline into political power. Why? The authors of Holy Blood, Holy Grail assert that their explorations into early history ultimately reveal that Jesus may not have died on the cross, but lived to marry and father children whose bloodline continues today. The authors' point here is not to compromise or to demean Jesus, but to offer another, more complete perspective of Jesus as God's incarnation in man. The power of this secret, which has been carefully guarded for hundreds of years, has sparked much controversy. For all the sensationalism and hoopla surrounding Holy Blood, Holy Grail and the alternate history that it outlines, the authors are careful to keep their perspective and sense of skepticism alive in its pages, explaining carefully and clearly how they came to draw such combustible conclusions. --Jodie Buller
The Gospel of Mary Magdalene
By:Jean-Yves Leloup, Joseph Rowe, Jacob Needleman
Interest in Mary Magdalene, the quasi-legendary woman of the Gospels who stood in an ambiguous relationship to Jesus, is booming just now. According to noncanonical sources, she was Jesus' wife, and probably not the prostitute with whom she is often conflated or confused. Among those unorthodox sources is one of the fragmentary early texts rejected by the church fathers and now called the gnostic gospels. Found in 1945 at Nag Hammadi in the Egyptian desert, it is a short but complex Coptic text that appears to render the voice of Mary Magdalene. This volume contains English translations of Leloup's French version of the original and Leloup's extensive commentary, which discloses the theology that inspired the lost gospel. Less dualistic and more woman-affirming than the canonical quartet, the Magdalene's gospel might be embraced by contemporary seekers, both Christian and non-Christian

Da Vinci Code Decoded the DvD
Fans of Dan Brown's The Da Vinci Code should prepare to have their minds blown all over again watching The Da Vinci Code Decoded, a mesmerizing documentary featuring several authors whose research provided the basis for Brown's bestselling novel. Henry Lincoln (Holy Blood, Holy Grail), Dan Burstein (Secrets of the Code), and Margaret Starbird (The Woman with the Alabaster Jar) are among interviewees who can tease from Da Vinci's few paintings sometimes spooky references (e.g., the disembodied, knife-wielding hand in "The Last Supper") to the artist's heretical convictions about Christ. Much evidence is presented to support the view that Jesus was married to Mary Magdalene, and that the latter's flight to France with Christ's child is the real basis of the Holy Grail legend. Exciting, persuasive stuff, shrouded in mystery and possible conspiracies. --Tom Keogh

The Dragon Legacy: The Secret History Of An Ancient Bloodline
BY: Nicholas, Prince de Vere, Tracy Twyman
Are the Dragon Kings of ancient times the gods of our mythologies? This book outlines in detail the ancient dragon bloodline - where it came from and what it really means. Were those who carried this bloodline blessed with great powers? What influence did they have on the ancient world? De Vere reveals the beginnings of the Grail bloodline in an antediluvian civilization with a super-human, red-haired race of Grail Kings that conquered and ruled over the primitive hordes of the ancient world. They created all of the traditions, customs and institutions upon which civilization depends. The author, de Vere, takes the next step in the popular ongoing research devoted to ancient bloodlines, the Grail and the true meanings of mythology. This extremely well-researched book unveils many mysteries of the past, including who the elves, fairies and vampires really were, why blood itself was so important to this bloodline, what kind of magic once existed, and how it was ultimately lost.
The Merovingian Mythos and the Mystery of Rennes-le-Chateau
BY:Tracy R. Twyman
Twyman has discovered that the bloodline of the Merovingians stems not only from Christ and Mary Magdalene, but in fact, goes back to the god-kings and queens of the antediluvian world. She has also determined the nature of the physical object called "the Holy Grail" - a magnificent structure hidden beneath Rennes-le-Chateau, France. And within this structure is perhaps the greatest treasure of human history: the grave of a sacred king named Cain, who brought kingship and the wisdom of the gods down from Heaven. Throughout history, the secret of the Grail, the tradition of the Grail, and the bloodline of the Grail have inspired the activities of secret societies, and guided the destiny of humanity. It has been at the center of a struggle both cosmic and terrestrial that has lasted for thousands of years.
