My heart was filled with earthly cares, Each burden seemed too much to bear, Upon my knees I tried to pray, But could not find the words to say, And as I knelt with head bent low, My tears did like a river flow, I heard a voice say unto me, "Lift up your head, your plight I see, This is My world, I'm in control, Reach out to Me, your hand I'll hold. Place all your doubts and cares on Me, From all your fears, I'll set you free, For I am with you night and day, When trials come, don't turn away. I will be faithful 'til the end, On Me, My child, you can depend. Now, lift your head and dry your tears, Lay down your burdens and your cares, There's not a care too big for me, For I can lift them easily. I am your Saviour, Lord and friend, You need not feel alone, again. Yes, I am always here with you, And come what may, I'll see you through."
