| He walked upon the golden stairs, Up to Heaven's gate. He stopped there for a moment, And he thought, "Perhaps I'll wait." He looked beyond the golden gate, To an opened door, And saw the faces of his loved ones, Who had gone on home before. They beckoned to him gently, Encouraging him in, Saying, "Come. Your trials are over now, Your new life will begin. The angels here are waiting, To guide you through the street, To meet your loving Saviour, For your life is now complete." Jeannette E.
