| God called His angels together, And told them of His plight, "There's a dear little child sick and suffering, With pain all day and all night." God wanted someone very special, To go to Earth for the lad, He asked them to go and search Heaven, And find the best angel they had. An angel with love and compassion, Whose smile would light up a room, Whose kindness can melt a little child's heart, And banish the fear and the gloom. The angels searched throughout Heaven, And there by the golden gate, Stood a lady with hair of snowy white, Wondering how long she must wait, For the big golden gate to open, To let her step inside, It seemed so long since she left the earth, It had been a few days since she died. She smiled at the band of angels, And asked, "May I come in?" And the angels knew at that moment, That their search was at it's end. They told God about the lady, Waiting outside of the gate, Then God smiled and said to the angels, "We no longer have to wait, For this is the little child's Grandma, We'll send her to earth for him, And together they'll travel to Heaven, Where we'll wait to welcome them in."
