I have been watching Brooke Fraser perform at Parachute music festival
for
years now, and she has always blown me away with her sense of humour
and her
pure heart, you could just see her passion flowing out of her. You
could
see that she just loved The Lord, and her music, it is an amazing thing
to
see Brooke Fraser play, the music is one thing, but her live brings a
whole
new meaning to the music. I took a couple of my friends to see John
Mayer
in Wellington, in April, and my mate was just blown away with her, he
never
really liked her music, untill he saw her live, and then he went out
and
bought the CD.
Her music has affected me in a way that only one other
artist sort of has, his name is Blair Giles, and he has played with
Brooke
on a few occasions. The way the lyrics, and music flow into one in a
way
that is unforgettable. I still get shivers down my spine with the
first few
bars of Arithmetic!!! Brookes music has inspired me to write again,
(maybe
one day I'll be as popular as she is now!) I gave up writing music at
the
start of last year, i just felt like there was no point to it all, so I
gave
up.
When I first heard the song Better on the radio
I was soooo happy I
couldn't believe that she had done it, I was over the moon. Then I
bought
the CD and i didn't stop listening to it for months (the only reason is
that
one of my friends "borrowed" it, I never got it back!). Scarlet has
been a
song that has affected me a lot, after listening to it I wrote my own
version
in a sense, but the words of that song just really stopped me in my
tracks, I just had to listen, I love the way the story is told about the pain,
a
pain that I felt for years, (until I became a hardcore Christian,) I
want
that song to be played at my funeral. Indelible i think that any Christian
could relate to, it is just a perfect song about the Christian faith
the
relationship between us, the lowly humans that we are, and Jesus, the
greatest King of Kings, the Saviour of all.
Brooke I love you lots,
and I
want to marry you, I know that its probably not going to happen, but if
you
are ever in Adelaide in the near future i will be there, any ways thanks
for
the great music, God will bless you with more than your heart could
ever
desire, and your husband is going to be a great guy, and a very lucky
one. I loved you in Wellington,
(for all those people in the front rows I am trying my best to keep my
thighs as tightly squezzed as possible!!)
, you
rocked my world hun, and i think that we should bring back the Booty
Shakin'
hahahaha yeah Baby, yeah!!
GOD BLESS
