This month the Army of Mordor has had a large change around, there is now three houses titled "Cirith Ungol, Minas Morgul and the Morannon" thanks to 6000 credits from Eru to pay for the 3 Palaces. On the western borders of Ephel Dúath, in the valley of Imlad Morgul stands the mighty Tower of Sorcery. A dark palace it has become lately, for it is the dwelling of the mightiest of the three Garrisons.

After a long time of changes, rumours and bad whispering, an unholy silence came again into the gloomy halls of Minas Morgul. Cruel as always is the reign of Sharrásh, the Nazgûl on the throne. But the name of her rank has changed. Black Captain she shall be called from now on. And three Lieutenants follow her will: Sepheroth, Inzilbeth and Umarth. Strong is their will and terrible their methods.

Alas, one of the Nazgûl, Nameless One, the former advisor of Sharrásh has vanished somewhere in the dark, yet rumours tell of a strange Steward of Gondor who often visits the Mordorian Pubs and says that his name would be Úsin what probably means “The Unknown”.

Well, if you are a minion who feels the bloodlust of his darkened mind and who isn’t already a warrior of another garrison then join the legions of Minas Morgul, bow before our Black Captain in the shadowy throne room and tell her about your previous rotten life. If you are hideous enough you can be sure that soon you will find yourself in one of the dreaded training-missions of the Garrison, or even in war fighting side by side with abhorred warriors of Minas Morgul.

Of misery their tale would tell

If souls would rise

That once there fell

Within the walls, the halls of wise

To tell the wanderers their woes

Of pain, of grief's

Of the hate of foes

Of blackened leaves

That fell from trees

Like every man would fall

Going down on his knees

As a Dark Lord’s thrall

The tower was lost

Plundered and seized

As a prey of a host

Of shadows from the east

And everlasting dark crept in

Beneath the moon beneath the sun

There no mortal man would grin

Do not linger, better run!

It’s a never fading horror’s lair

Of sorcery and nine, beware!

The scourge of evil reigns, my fool

The dreaded halls of Minas Morgul

A New King in Rohan

On Monday September 1'st, Eowyn of Rohan stepped down as Ruler of Rohan. Faramirr was immediately named as her replacement and given the rank of "Theoden King". For over a year and half Eowyn has ruled Meduseld with a kind heart and an iron fist. Always active and making herself available to her subjects, this comes as a heavy blow to the Riders of Rohan. Meduseld has grown to great heights during her time as Ruler. Tears were shed, friendships made, and all the riders will hold her dear.

New blood has risen in Rohan!  Theoden King now rules along side Eomer. Faramirr joined the Plaza around the same as this writer.  On a personal note I couldn’t be happier for Faramirr and Rohan. Rohan is getting one of the most dedicated, active, and
knowledgeable Plaza Members. The Riders of the Mark are one lucky group of people and it’s safe to assume that Rohan will excel to even greater heights under his watchful eye. Here's to you Faramirr, may your rulership last long!

News from Isengard

In Isengard there stands a great and enormous tower which has been named Orthanc. In Orthanc many great and mostly weird things happen. Here are just a few of those happenings and you can find the whole story on them by just travelling to the beautiful country and walking into the magnificent tower. The court room has been opened again and this time the accused is none other than Elrond Halfelven. Both the prosecution and the defence teams are having trouble with his case. All the wizards that have been craving to look in the magic globe known as a palantir finally get their chance in the Palantir Chamber. Severus Snape has opened up a comedy club and though it doesn't get that much attention I can assure you that it should for there are some funny ones abroad in Isengard the thread is WCCC and I vouch for the laughter fest you will receive. The OOM or Order of Merlin has let in a few more wizards to join the greats and they are Dumenlion, Moneta, Eltrime, and Philthrandir. This month the poets of Isengard are saluting John Donne and they are giving their best shot at trying to come upon his level of recognition and recitation.

Stutters in the Den

The latest round of inter-kingdom debates has finished the round-robin stage and now moves into the finals. The team from Mordor began with high hopes after their strong show in the Olympics where they were unlucky to lose in the first round to eventual winners, Minas Tirith. However, we were continually struggling to make the numbers during this tournament and we failed to win a single meet because of this.

Nevertheless, the season finished on a high note with the inclusion of many new and valuable members, who have shown dedication in their short time at the den. With this new blood, their is a feeling of optimism in the den and a practice debate is scheduled soon among the interested.

If you would like to try your hand at butting heads with other lore keepers, historians and philosophers, then show up at the Den and introduce yourself. Who knows, we might learn something!

Dear Minions of Mordor,

I have left for lands of peace...along with a few other minions...hoping to leave behind memories of this dark land. Even though I will try to forget them, I fear the task will be hard...for however much I may try to deny it...Mordor is my original home. I wish all of you the best...and hope I won’t have to fight you...soon.

Darkest Greetings,

Nameless
