p.3: about: Adult Rodeo - It’s hard to come up with a band when you feel like listening to pop, noise, ad/hd-rock and experimental songwriting all at the same time. Your best guess could be adult rodeo. Their first two records came out on the notorious Shimmy disc, and sound like they recorded their songs as quietly as possible, not to disturb the neighbours. On their latest album, Tough Titty, well… recording that at home might have disturbed the neighbours.. Though Adult rodeo is a favourite round here since 1999, I hardly knew anything about the band. Rob Erickson (guitar + vocals) was kind enough to answer a few questions

p.6: guitar plus: a series in which, we ask musician about stuff they really like to talk about: their gear!. Or at least, that’s what we suppose they like to talk about. So we pick a few random questions out of one of those ’professional’ guitar magazines. In this first issue, we have a chat with Nathan Amundson, He recorded two albums and a few ep’s as being Rivulets. The easiest way to describe him, is a sort of minimal version of Red house painters. When playing live, he’s mostly on his own, just with his guitar and some sort of effectbox. We’re not the only ones wondering what it is: we could witness it ourselves that people started asking him questions about it. So, on popular demand…

yip, the sxe-spot
p.8: listen to: No free cd-sampler with this magazine (too expensive for us) but we offer you an exclusive downloadable track by John Merrick Band: “straight edge hardcore scene”, taken from his impossible to find first demotape.

p.9: morc catalog: I would see it as a commercial if it wasen’t all this good… however, if they disturb you, these pages are easy to remove! but you'll get a nice overview of what's available (check http://www.geocities.com/morctapes if you can't wait!)

p.13 what was: series about labels/zines/bands etc that disappeared. This time: the demise of The Broken Face magazine. The editorial of number 18 opened very surpring. ‘Welcome to the final instalment’, wrote editor Mats Gustafsson. For over six years, his zine had been the guide for people interested in most sorts of ‘out-there’ drones, avant-garde and folk (read the article!)

p.17: cooking: no idea what to eat? Sean Brooks (of minmae fame) gives you a few suggestions. More or less a secret is that he’s also a big fan of taco’s. so he shares two (and a half) recipes for his favourite dish.

p.18: reviews: Every magazine has them, so why don’t we? discover how we like will and dave's' k' -tape and the minmae ep 'true love'.
