River Jude Phoenix was born on 27th August 1970 in Madras,Oregon.His parents were John and Arlyn Phoenix.He was one of five children.There was River,Rain,Joaquin,Liberty and Summer.
River was a gentle person who cared for the world around us.His favourtie charity was PeTA and he was a vegan.
I was only 9(It was my birthday 1hour and 51 mins before he was pronounced dead)when he died on 31st October 1993.
I feel deprived that I didn't really know who he was but after I saw him in "Stand By Me" I was mesmorised by his performance and I grew to like him after that. The characters he played were always lovable and this made me feel that I knew the kind of person that he was off screen.I like to think that he was the same kind of person off screen than he was on and I guess I am right because everybody has said what a kind and gentle person he was.
This year he would've been 31and I'm sure his career would still be going strong.
He was supposed to have played the character of the interviewer in "Interview with the Vampire" but sadly he died so Christian Slater got the part instead.He was also working on a movie called "Dark Blood "but the film could not be completed because most of his important scenes hadn't been shot.
He was so young when he died but we all knew that he was a kind and considerate person so he wasn't young enough to be forgotten.
May he always be remembered for who he was not for the way he died.
My and I'm sure many others thoughts go to River's family and close friends that had the honour to know him but had the awful tragedy of losing him.
