Sometimes things seem so jumbled up, they feel like they've never happened at all... sometimes things strike you in a way that you cannot recall how much time has actually passed and you look back and wonder if you've ever said anything at all, it feels just like...

Twilight and a minute past the day,
The stars shining in a multi-colored
High
Leaving one wide-eyed and
Blind
I found you under your baggage you drowned in,
As I wouldn't have it any other way,
Shape and form transforming me,
As I wonder why the mountains fell,
And I didn't even notice my star shining
In your eyes that stole away a part of me,
Holding it ransom for something a little sweeter
Than what you're used to

Dawn and a few moments later,
I picked you up and took you home,
You can have my back room
If you'll give me that smile that I think I've seen,
Before the madness sinks in and the moon
Drops out from the sky, and leaves your hair
The most perfect shade of moonlight
I have ever seen,
I have never seen someone so
Beautiful

Sun-scorched noon and one thousand thoughts past the minute,
We're hiding together under the
Thickness of promises,
Even though we've never said anything,
Yet
And I'm still captivated by that smile,
Please tell me when I can see it
Because there's a lot of things I'd rather see
And do
And feel
Before knowing what to expect,
That's the fun part,
Anyway

Evening and a few sins later,
I'm sitting watching the golden
Swirl across your skin
Sliding,
Dancing,
Living,
Twisting,
That traces my fingertips,
The contact just a little before
The present moment's
Calm

Midnight and half a pair past the hour,
Leaves me with nothing to say,
Not like I've ever said those things
At all,
And sweat-soaked memories,
Not forgetting
The vision of when my star
Fell into your eyes
Which have never returned that part
Of me
