Directed by William, HILL revolves around a group of people invited to spend the night in a supposedly haunted house, with the promise of monetary gain should they 'survive' the night. Sounds easy enough to me HAHHAHA THE HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL 2 ??? Last year's Warner Bros. and Dark Castle production HOUSE ON HAUNTED HILL having grossed over $40 million domestically, the studio apparently has plans for a sequel. The film, which made a profit of $21 million at the domestic box office and is expected to make a slaying on video, centers around an eccentric millionaire who unwittingly invites a handful of guests to a supposedly 'haunted' house, only to find that the structure is actually malevolent (and is in fact and abandoned mental facility). Written by Dick Beebe and based on the original William Castle - Vincent Price film, HOUSE fared relatively well last year, regardless of its shortcomings. According to Dark Horizons, Warner Bros. is currently casting a sequel. Penned by HILL's screenwriter Dick Beebe, the story "follows a woman actress Debi Mazar THE DOORS, BATMAN FOREVER, EMPIRE RECORDS) who decides to buy the house and turn it into a business. Although this hasn't been confirmed. American Psycho 2: The Phoenix New Times reports that Lions Gate Films, the distributor of the film adaptation of Bret Easton Ellis' "American Psycho" novel, is in negotiations with the author to buy sequel rights.
