Local Groups. Published in CT 279
I have recently joined the Norwich Dr Who (and other Sci-fi) group, and it is really good. Every fortnight we meet in a nice quiet pub, and have a really good time! (Well done Sean and co if you are reading this. Oh, and thanks for the lifts Helen!)
I would urge as many Dr Who fans as possible to join a Local Group. It has certainly opened my eyes to new Sci-fi stuff, as well as Dr Who itself!
They say a group as all about the members. I can't speak for other groups, but the Norwich one is full of very nice people, who are all game for a laugh and are fun to be with. I guess it is the same for everyone else, as you need to be good at socialising to even considering joining an LG rather than festering away at home watching Dr Who videos.
So, a thumbs-up to LGs, and the Norwich one in particular! Long may they reign!
