A Big hello to all CT readers!

Yes, it's that time again: commercial sponsership time! I have just this minute heard an advertisment on Virgin Radio with Tom Baker advertising Vodafone. Remarkable? Probably not considering Tom's illustrious record. However, he was advertising the phone in the role of Doctor Who!

Perhaps this is a possibilty for a return of Doctor Who with sponserhip. The Doctor and his companion could advertise (either on or off the show) mobile phones, PCs and the like (discretly where possible, perhaps a close-up of the brand.) Obviously, not everything would work, I mean I don't see the Daleks advertising aol.com, or the Cybermen advertising Castrol GTX, but you know what I mean.

Anyway, it must be a good sign to have Doctor Who being used to advertise products to the general public, as it raises the awareness (and hopefully the demand) of Doctor Who. A sign of a comeback? The future's bright, the future's ... well, I'm sure you know the rest.
