On tuesday night (8 Sept 1998) he hit his 62nd homer of the season in the 4th inning of the game against the Chicago Cubs. The ball McGwire hit for his 62nd home run was delivered to the Baseball Hall of Fame, autographed and dated by the slugger. In addition to the ball, the Hall of Fame received his Louisville Slugger bat with his signature, his hat, uniform, cleats and batting gloves. |
