With this migthy swing,   Mark McGwire sent his 62nd home run over the left field fence and himself into the baseball history.   On tuesday night (8 Sept 1998) he hit his 62nd homer of the season in the 4th inning of the game against the Chicago Cubs.   The cubs pitcher was Steve Trachsel and he hit the first pitch to him over the left field fence (341 feet).
